The First Amendment of the Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution states: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." On Friday evening at Q'emiln Park, several hundred citizens came together for a peaceful protest. The We the People Rally was an assembly in the best tradition of America. What's not to love about a community and country where we can stand and pledge allegiance to the flag, say a prayer and enjoy a hot dog on a warm summer evening on the river ...
