The staff of the North Idaho College Center for New Directions rescued four abandoned baby ducklings behind the Siebert Building on NIC’s Coeur d’Alene campus. Their mother was not with them and the ducklings were in danger from crows so the staff brought them inside to safety. A series of emails were exchanged campus wide, and through suggestions from other college employees, the Center for New Directions staff found the ducks a home with a wildlife veterinarian in Otis Orchards, Wash.
