Every year, Preservation Idaho, the Idaho Historic Preservation Council hosts the Orchids Awards, a ceremony designed to celebrate those individuals and organizations which have made a positive contribution to historic preservation. This past Saturday in Nampa, Post Falls student Maddy Baker made history of her own when she became the youngest recipient of the award. Maddy created the Post Falls History Walk which received the Cultural Preservation Award. Maddy's History Walk was nominated for the award by Post Falls Mayor Clay Larkin.
