It's a bird, it's a plane ...

Over the weekend, a slow-moving, low-flying B-17 bomber could be seen in the skies over the Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene area several times. It was impressive to see. I heard that it's a privately-owned plane, available for hire for excursions. Anyone out there know details of the B-17?
Here's what I found out ... The World War II era bomber the B-17 Flying Fortress was on display at Felts Field in Spokane Valley. The fully restored bomber, Liberty Belle, is part of the "Salute to Veterans Tour" across the nation. The public was invited to take a free ground tour of the plane on May 9 and 10. For $430 people could take a ride in the Liberty Belle.

  1. Thanks Kerri! I saw that plane a couple of times and thought I was in a WWII newsreel. LOL!
