I was honored to spend Armed Forces Day in the company of a few good men at the Marine Corps League Department of Idaho state convention. Dinner was served by the Young Marines, a great group of young men who say "Yes sir" and "Yes maam" like they mean it. At 90 years young, Roy Weaver - USMC Gunnery Sergeant, retired, has seen and survived a lot in his day. Less than a week after the bombing of Pearl Harbor he was captured by the Japanese and spent three and a half years as a POW. Roy Weaver is part of America's Greatest Generation and one of a dwindling number of WWII veterans. Semper fi.
