Memory Lane
July 1 is celebrated in Canada similarly to our July 4 Independence Day. Back in the 1960s before tourists from all over the world discovered Coeur d'Alene, the majority of our visitors over this holiday weekend were Canadians. A rolicking, sometimes rowdy good time was had by all in the City by the Lake. Canadians and hydroplane races, summer in Coeur d'Alene back in the day was definately fun.
