Lights Camera Action!
I love discovering the different layers of our communities and attending my first meeting of a group of writers, directors, make-up artists and production pros this week was enlightening. KNIFVES (Northwest Independent Film & Video Entertainment Society) began in 2006 when W.J. Lazerus looked for a way that he and local production friends could discuss what was happening in the Coeur d'Alene area industry. People might be surprised to know how many film industry professionals have relocated to North Idaho and the positive economic impact the industry provides. *In 2008 Utah film revenue was $100 million, Oregon $454 million.
