The first of two August elections this year is taking place on Tuesday, August 3. The Kootenai Fire District election is for a $2 million, 10-year bond for the development of a training center and administration building remodel. Cost would be $7.04 per $100,000 of assessed property value. Polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and polling places are at Station #3 on 16th Ave. in Post Falls and Station #5 on N. 4th in Dalton.
