Semper Fi Roy Weaver
There's one fewer few good men on earth with the passing on Saturday of 91-year- old USMC Gunnery Sargent (RET) Roy Weaver. Roy, a veteran of WWII who survived three years in a prisoner of war camp, was one of my favorite "old Marines" of the Pappy Boyington Detachment 966 of the Marine Corps League. Semper Fi.

The loves of his life were the U.S. Marines Corps and his wife who was devoted to him. He was a friend you could depend on and one of the last "good guys". Roy had an upbeat and positive attitude with a zest for enjoying life. He was active towards the end and an inspiration to all that knew him. Roy -- I know you are in heaven with your much loved cat, Pappy, on your lap. We loved you and miss you.
